Macedonia is a multicultural country. The tragedies of the Balkan wars have made this country aware that tolerance is essential for its existence. In my opinion, organising an International Student Poster Competition on the subject of Tolerance by young people in this young country is a great political and artistic event. Many interesting posters created by students from all over the world have been submitted to this challenging competition.
The posters present different national approaches to the topic. Many of them embrace the issue of tolerance in general, but there is also a group of posters that highlight specific regional problems of intolerance.
I would like to congratulate the organisers, Laze Tripkov and Ondřej Mišek, who are my former students, which makes my pleasure even greater. Also, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Mayor of Skopje Mr. Trifun Kostovski.
I look forward to next year’s poster competition.
